I get a lot of questions about what my favorite baby products are and what gear I use, so I thought I’d share a few with you!
There are TONS of different baby gear options out there. I did a lot of asking around and reading reviews on each product before purchasing, and I have been so happy with what we have used.
There were just a few things that I did buy that I did not end up loving
[I’ll include those in a separate post]
Below are some of my favorites!
- All the baby wearing:
First, is the Ergo 360. You can purchase the infant insert with it, which we used with it while Aspen was teeny.
I have TWO of the wild bird ring slings. I keep one in the car and one in the house. They feel very secure and are so easy to use. I love that I can just throw it in
my purse or diaper bag.
For outdoor adventures we use our Osprey POCO AG Plus pack. There is quite a bit of storage and the sun shade is an awesome hidden feature. - Strollers:
We use the Baby Jogger City Select- Double. This stroller is an all in one and has everything you need. It is perfect for the Montana weather and works well even in the snow. The seat can be changed from forward to backward, a second seat can be added below, or a skateboard attachment for larger children is also available!
The quality of this stroller is unmatched, however, it is large and heavy, which is why we purchased a small travel stroller for flying with… and YOU GUYS… it is AWESOME. It even folds up into a little bag with straps to wear over your shoulders. It is also the Baby Jogger brand and is the City Tour. - Dock-a-tot:
I did not purchase Aspen’s Dock-a-tot until about a month after she was born. I was so desperate for sleep that I was willing to try ANYTHING. I had a friend tell me about them and I had read all of these amazing things online about how this little “pillow-type thing” completely changed the way their babies slept. Let me tell you- they were right! It has helped our daughter so much and it is great because you can take it anywhere! We loved it so much we now have the larger size. - Comotomo Bottles:
Since I am a wedding photographer, I have to leave Aspen for full days at a time. Since we are breastfeeding, the thought of her taking a bottle from someone else made me so nervous! I had tried a few other brands with a much smaller nipple surface, and she was NOT a fan. It was a very stressful bottle-trying adventure. My friend had given me the Comotomo bottles as a gift thinking they were cute (which they are) but they were also designed specifically for breastfeeding babies. You can also find them at Nordstrom and Amazon. - Portable Playyard:
I absolutely love my Joovy Room 2. It is so spacious (5′ x 5′) and not only doubles as a travel bed, but also a playpen for my little explorer. We have traveled multiple times with it and even pop it up in the house so Mama can shower or clean without a little redheaded shadow. It is SO easy to pop up and take down. - Travel Bassinet:
We used a travel bassinet for at home as well as for traveling when Aspen was younger. We used the Chicco Lullago Portable Bassinet. The legs come off and it folds up into an easy carrying bag. Another similar option is the Evenflo Loft Portable Bassinet, which I have also purchased for a couple friends as baby shower gifts. Another great thing is that the small Dock-a-tot also fits in both of these bassinets! - Walker:
Aspen was on the move at an early age and I was so excited when I found the Joovy walker (even though she now pushes it more than she rides in it already). It is such a nice product and a smooth little ride for her chase the dogs around in. The large tray is great for toys or snacks and is super easy to clean.
